Hello

Yes I owe you all a post.

I think summer... i.e., life is finally catching up with me. I am so frigging exhausted I have been dragging myself around the last 4/5 days.

I am so looking forward to waving the kids off to school so I can just sleep without guilt.

Nothing new on the job front.

Happy Labor Day Weekend All :)

P.S. cute kitty pic - this is Panther -- one of four fuzzy residents in my zoo.

New Job?????

We'll see.

OB had a posting again so I put in for it.

The ER is currently the pits. And while no job is perfect, crying on your way to work is usually a signal that something has to change. So.... we'll see.

God's will be done!

Finally,

Were off to Band Camp tomorrow - and I am really looking forward to it. Plan on a couple of yarn shop stops on the way, have packed plenty of projects (I hope). I figure I have roughly 30+ hours of knitting time this next week (YIPPEE).

I had promised some pics, sorry it took so long.....
This is the shrug that I ran out of yarn for and added some linen to the sleeves.

I expect it will look better in the winter with long sleeves than it does now.

I had mentioned that I was working on the backyard earlier in July. This is the area that I did. We laid black landscaping paper over the grass and than the mulch. In the far corner I have Iris' planted... to the far left are Brown-Eyed Susan's and where the chair is Vinca Vine.
Will post more when we return
Happy Days,

More than Ready!

Well were off to the camper for 6 days starting tomorrow, so I will be blog-less.

Really in need of the time - just about too tired to care.

Hope all have a great weekend.

The memories of yesteryear

Thank you all for your comments! I love the fact that we seem to all go back to different cars in our past. The memories that a simple comment can evoke.

My first vehicle was a soft top jeep CJ-5. The thing rusted out beneath me (literally!) First the window wiper box rusted off the windshield and I manually had to move the box back and forth to make the wipers work. When dad eventually found out he replaced the windshield.

Than the area around the ashtray rusted (dad smoked) and one morning I turned the corner and got dirty wet ashtray of water slopped onto my wool knee socks (private school uniforms) and walked around disgusted by the ick that was my sock.

Than the floorboard under my feet rusted away. I was careful where I stepped to get into the vehicle so I didn't step through it.

Why did I put up with all this? Cause wheels I didn't have to pay for and were available completely to me wasn't to be sneered at. Without them I might have been grounded to the house, have to buy my own or worse yet await my parents!

Happy Memories :)

Now that I don't have to

I find that I don't have much to say. Does that make sense.

30/30 forced me to post which turned into some days just chatting about what was going on in life.

Truth be told -- not much happens in my life. I'm a mom. I work. Life happens. I spend money. Hence, why I work.

Newest thing in today's world? I started looking at new cars (remember the spending money part). Lissa turns 16 in April and sometime between now and than I have to purchase an additional car. I do not want to be forced into purchasing the first thing I see at whatever the current price is. Sooooo I am shopping to see what I want and to know when its a good price or good deal (come back 0% financing!).

So far the "Cobalt" is in the lead -- but that's only 2 dealerships and 4 cars.
