Glutton for Punishment

So, the knitting is going really well. I have just one knitting project left to complete and than the scrapbook (can you see this scrapbook being a down to the wire thing....)

Anyways, I finished my nephews socks last night and am trying to work on Lissa's cowl when she's not around so its an actual surprise. So I'm feeling great! Its only Dec 3 and I have just about completed the "Christmas Knitting".

So what does any over achiever do when the end of the deadline projects are in-sight? YES you are right. I added another project.

Pair of men's socks. Worsted weight, 100% Alpaca on size 6 needles. Waiting on the exact size, around a 10 if memory serves.

Just call me Glutton

Hello All

Happy Belated Thanksgiving to All -

I am trying a catch up of sorts - I should be sleeping (note its 1:19 EST) but I am finding more and more that night-time is for being awake and day -- at least mornings-- are for sleeping. Now this isn't bad when I'm working, but in my off days it presents quite a problem i.e, nothings getting done.

I finished all my sewing projects and currently have on three that need completing - 2 knitting and 1 journal thing.

Got the tree up and decorated without a fight or tears. Not sure how much more is really going to get done. I can already see the days winging away.

Work is work - lets move on.

Signed up for International Scarf Exchange 7http://www.ise7.blogspot.com waiting to get all the info after January.

Seems like there was so much I wanted to post, but can't remember any more right now. Happy holidays to all and try not to stress out.

And the race is on

The "Projects to finish by Christmas" race that is.

Every year I do this to myself.
1. Start the project list (usually in May) when I'm using this as reasons to purchase additional "stuff".
2. Add to list as the year progresses.
3. Revise the list as October begins
4. Add additional projects to the list - as I finish one I add two more
5. Purchase additional "stuff" for added projects.
6. Revise list substituting new project for one "stuff" in May was purchased to make and purchase more.
7. Start to realize "to do" list is longer than current ___ days till Christmas.
8. Stress
9. Revise list again to bare necessities.
10. Pull it out in the end, somewhat.

Currently I am at #7. I have been resisting #6 this year, but we'll see how that goes (I have yarn purchased in May for a felted purse that I'm rethinking a Cowl would be better. Not rethinking the yarn of course.)

I am also trying to resist #4 (2 headbands for nieces... finished mom's Cowl yesterday).

I still have to: Start a purse, Finish slippers, finish hat, finish two pair of PJ pants, make slipper socks or purchase gift for friend, finish "journal/scrapbook".

I think that's it. If I don't add the headbands.

Merry Christmas :)

Vintage

By this time this picture is a little outdated, but that's what I have.

No I didn't do the toe the way the directions said - knitters choice I decided to do a regular toe and embroider the leaf motif on top. Worked just fine Thank You.

I have attached all the leaves to sock #1, completed I-cord and tacked the ends. I have 1/2 the leaves on sock #2. Than I have to do stems and vining and ALL WILL BE FINISHED!!!

This was a great pattern and not a bad knit but I am sooooooo sick of working on it it isn't funny!!! I didn't feel a "push" as it was for Christmas so I picked it up and put it down. Now after 7 months of playing with it I just want it finished!! That and I'm feeling the Christmas Countdown

Later gators :) K

Where is the time going...

Here it is Oct 17, the month is half gone already. I can't believe how fast time is flying by!!! The only benefit is soon all the campaign adds will be gone!

Not much happening. Working on knit stuff for the store and trying to squeeze in some Christmas knitting.

The new door is suppose to be installed on Monday.

Closing the camper and getting ready for colder weather.

Hope all is well with you :)

Hello All

I sit here at work and for tonight we are having a very nice one. Really deserved too!

Haven't heard anything on the maternity front. Trying not to become negative, believing God will work all out the way it should. But getting really tired of ER.

Been working on some knits for the shop for displays, enjoying doing some baby stuff. Need to get back to my own knitting.

Other than that... I have nothing to say. Life continues. Children grow.

Where did that last come from? My daughter went to homecoming this past weekend. Got a little teary-eyed. She was just so grown up, won't be long before shes leaving me to be on her own and than married.

Keep knitting my friends. Chat soon.
